I am looking up how to update my drivers and so far the things i have found that i will need to update is my SSD, HDD, Motherboard, GPU, and DVD RW. Is there anything else i need to update to have better performance? I know you can not update the PSU and RAM but what about the CPU, can it be updated? Here are my PC components and links to what i think are the driver updates. Can not find a driver update for my DVD RW because Asus only has a windows 7 one, what do i do?
Intel Core i5-4690
MSI-R9 280
Gigabyte GA-H97-Gaming 3
Asus 24x DVD-RW
Samsung EVO 840 120GB
Western Digital Black 1TB 7200RPM

Ok thanks. And can you check my mother board to see if you would know what kind of Ethernet cable to get? I think i will need the Cat 6 Ethernet cable. And also say if i have great internet speeds but i have a slow router, if use a wired connection will it not matter because my main internet will be going directly to my PC making the router pretty much not matter?

This is completely inaccurate. All Ethernet cables are rated to 100m at best, and cat-5e vs. cat-6 is no different. cat-6 supports 10 Gbps speeds up to about 30m, or 100m if you're running 6a. Of course, this is generally moot as most people have zero need to run 10 Gbps networks, let alone have NICs that support it.

Most consumer routers run up at 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps, so unless you have an extremely fast internet connection, the connection between your modem/router and your computer isn't going to be a major issue while wired.

Pretty much. Unless you have internet speeds in excess of 1 Gbps, in which case you'd probably be able to afford to pay someone else to set up your network for you.
