okay so i have my newer rig im happy with the build although it gives me problem sometimes when i play havier game with max setting like Thief 4,Crysis 3,Witcher 2, even 2008 game Sacred 2..etc...but my problem here is why my GPU temperature is claiming up to 80c? you could even hear the GPU fan is going to take off like a rocket inside my case ALT+TABing the game to desktop makes GPU fan so calm like nothing happen, ive been straching my head over time about the problem but i couldnt figure it out so can anybody lead me hand here?

heres my rig info

OS: Windows 7 64bit
CPU: i7 4770k - not OC running on stock speed with h100i cooler
MOBO: Asus Maximus VI Hero
GPU: Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 (without x) running on stock speed
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GBx2=16GB also running on stock speed
PSU: Corsair RM1000watts

other info

GPU driver version : driver packaging version 14.20.1004-140709a-173735e
14.7 Beta 7/9/2014

will i dont know if this BETA driver have something to do with overheating/gpu fan problem but i dont know yet cause i have some issue here also when i UNINSTALL my ATi drivers were my (USB type) keyboard/mouse is impossible to detect and no other keyboard/mouse can be used to detect in my motherboard but i can only bypass this problem when using PS/2 keyboard yeah very hastle to do yet this is not my huge problem now

another info

AI Suite 3 : i didnt tweak anything here except i adjust some few settings like "Fan Xpert 2 was set to Silent mode" the rest was tweaked for energy/power saving and no bar/clocking were touched

okay so thats probably it

This may sound silly but it needs to be said :) is there anything near the GPU Fans blocking the airway or any other cards a little too close for comfort are the GPU fans working correctly try reseating the card is the pc case got plenty of airflow if everything is fine i'd presume the card has a defect and i would return it to the shop for another one if the problem continues am out of suggestions hope you get it sorted dude :)

hmm im not sure about that by the way my cpu case/chases is "Strike-X Xtreme Black" which enough space not to get my stuff inside struggle with air flow

EDIT:

i dont think its defective though playing other games like Bioshock Infinite,Arkgam Origins,Battlfield 4,COD Ghost, and AC4, my gpu seems to be calm

me neither, it was more the fans roaring away. On 3 monitors, nothing really hits 100% GPU usage except the crappy watchdogs, even then the temps are about75-80C and fans are pretty quiet. That's why I'm wondering about case ventilation.

okay i think i found some slight solution lol i opened the left part of my case i seems the shield its self was very hot making hot air trapped in side but now im thinking adding some 2 or 3 more fan in my case so any suggestion should i let air in or out ?
