It really depends on the rest of the PC since CPU's also have a wide range of Watt usage across the board. One 650 Watt PSU should be fine in most cases yes...

Any PSU with Channel Well, Seasonic, Enhance, FSP construction and others should do well (some better than others):
This means most of the following brands: Corsair, Antec, Cooler master, EVGA, XFX, and others (Nox and Tacens in europe are fine too depending on model). Since there are a lot of brands in PSU and I've only mentioned the tip of the iceberg the best you could do is ask if one particular unit you like would do, and I will answer.

By no means I have forgoten other good brands like super flower, I'm just mentioning some brands.

You should never ever build a Panaxuanic or SQNY one, that's the best rule.

Stick with Seasonic XFX for brand.

you need a 43A and a 600W PSU minimum for 2x 4870.....seasonic,xfx,evga are some of the trusted brands for psu...

http://www.amazon.com/XFX-PRO650W-Edition-Bronze-Certif...

but on the back it says a 650 watts psu

That one is a 650 watt, yes, XFX most likely uses Seasonic High Quality construction, is a great option if you have the money.

Yes, it would work perfectly, I would say for you it's high quality. Where will you buy the PSU? are you from USA or UK?

I would choose this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-power-suppl... Fractal design integra, construction is very good, and it can sustain more that the rated 650W without even losing stability, that should speak for quality. External construction and insides also speak of quality. And the price is much better.
