What graphics card will work with my computer?

I am looking to upgrade my PC Graphics Card and Ram. Before I order a graphics card or ram I want to make sure they will work. My budget is around 150$ for now, I know I also need more Ram. I planned to add a graphics card now then Ram later. Unless the additional Ram will give the best performance boast. I use it mostly for gaming. I added a link to the Model and specs.

Model Specs

Also this computer can have dual graphics cards. I found a used graphics card the same model that I currently have for 50$ would I be better to add a second graphics card of the same type or just get 1 new better graphics card? With dual graphics cards do they need to be the same model or could I add a better graphics card in addition to the one I have?

As for the Ram what options do I have with that? What types are compatible with my computer? How much could I add?

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate the help. Like I said I need to upgrade but I dont know what my options are or what will work.

Great! Thanks for the quick reply.

A couple other questions: How much of a performance upgrade will this give me?

I could also wait a couple months and get a more expensive graphics card maybe 300$. Or would that be not much of a benefit because of a bottleneck somewhere else in my system? For gaming would additional Ram be of much benefit?

The 2 options I am considering is A: Buying the graphics card you suggested then spending around 150$ on Ram in a couple months or so (if I can get a decent upgrade for that amount). Then in the future (6 + months) getting a 2nd graphics card the same kind.

Or B: Waiting a few months and buying a 300$ range graphics card then upgrading the Ram in (6 months or so).

So an over all investment of 450$ or so in a 9+ month period of time.

Again Thank You. This is a huge help.

With the current processor that you have right now, I'd say that you can probably play Battlefield 4 on medium to high settings and still get like 40+ fps.

Buying a different GPU that costs you like $300 (i.e R9 280x or even some 770's) will actually bottleneck your whole computer significantly. The current processor that you have is very old and very slow for the high end graphics card. Building your own computer would actually sound better than buying a GPU that costs like $300 because your computer won't actually benefit from it.

Thanks Zeus. You have definitely helped me know what to do. I will go with the original Graphics card you suggested and then a little later add more Ram. Is there a limit or certain type of ram I can use on my computer?

I cant really afford a new computer right now or else I would probably build one like you said. If I did go that route and build one could I use my current comp and replace the mother board, processor, graphics card and add ram, maybe a bigger power supply? But keep my HD and and everything else?

Again thanks for the help. When you arent very computer savvy its hard to find answers to specific question by googling it. When someone can answer them for you it is a huge help. I appreciate your help.

If you've got a copy of Windows 32 bit? Your computer would only benefit from 4GB of RAM [in some instances 3]. If you've got 4 or more gigs of RAM, that's when you should have a 64 bit computer to benefit from more memory!

Yes, the GTX 750 Ti doesn't eat that much power so you should be golden bro.

Hey Zeus I got the graphics card you told me to and it works great! I watched some videos on installing it and also watched some videos about the card. It was probably the best card I could have gotten for my system. It really had some great reviews. Some saying it could actually turn like a $300 system into a legit gaming system and from the performance boost I got I believe it. Thanks again for the great advice it was the best thing I could have gotten.

Anytime friend. I'm glad to be of some help!

Yeah, the 750 ti is a really good card for how much it's worth.

You're going to have no problems with it whatsoever.

Happy gaming man!
