Solution
Mice are a very subjective and personal thing. My suggestion, find yourself a good old bricks and mortar computer shop which stocks a few and try them out.

I have a logitech g500s and love it, but it might not suit you.

One more snippet of advice for what it's worth, don't get too caught up with specs, have you ever used a mouse set on 8200dpi? It's freakishly sensitive and nigh unplayable for most of us mere mortals! Maybe you're a pro gamer with insane reflexes, in which case good luck to you, but ultra-high dpi for most (myself very much included) is a nonsense line on a spec sheet.

Laser mice has higher DPI than Optical, meaning you have to move the mouse less to cover longer distance, where a Optical requires a wide surface to ensure manuverability and avoid reseating the mice to cover long distances on screen.

It's not a basic optical mice = 3= it features an advanced sensor with DPI from 240 to 4000. Low DPI requires to move more the mice and that can be more accurate to FPS players, but you can also adjust the DPI to high sensitivity that catters for other types of games.

Only laser mice can reach up to crazy DPI like 8200, and I dont think anyone uses that much unless they have surgeon hands.

Optical mice will invariably perform better than laser mice no matter the monitor or resolution, as all laser sensors have some built in features that result in reduced precision and accuracy. You don't need 8200 dpi, 1800 is the highest you will ever need to go, and most cs and quake pros use 400 or 800 dpi. If you want what is simply the best mouse in terms of a sensor, get a microsoft intellimouse or wheel mouse optical. Seeing as you play MMOS, you probably want a mouse with several extra buttons, so I would recommend a g502 as that also meets your other wants such as a high dpi and dpi shift.
