my ram is always high

hello
i am using win 7 ultimate my ram is always high its 50% even if i close all the running apps and i am using a 2gb ram
if i open two apps its getting to 100%
please help me to diagnose the problem

How much RAM do you have? I am using Win 7 Pro, and sit around 2 GB's in use on the desktop. If you only have 4 GB's it seems normal that just win 7 would be taking up 50%.
