Hi There,

I have made a new build with the above motherboard - english is not my first language sorry for using a friends account. I have a

i5-4670K
coolermaster V 650 power supply
corsair vengeance ram x 8GB
windows 8.1.

I put the pc together and everything is ok - but i cannot get PCI-express peripherals to work - i have tried different onces in another PC and they are both working ok but then do not show in device manager in mine. Then after a pair of days my USB ports do not work. There is no power going to the USB2.0 or 3.0 (i have tried two difference computer mouse and neither lights up).

I opened the case up and checked connections for all wires but cannot see any problems. The computer goes into windows ok and i can use my keyboard since it is a ps2 connector.

Thank you yes. I am using the mouse in the back of the motherboard - it is those that do not work (the front ones do not work either).

I had the mouse working OK when i was working the pci express problem. I updated all drivers with no result. Now the usb has stopped working a few days after also - i do not know anything else that has changed.

Hi Alex.. since you are helpful before! I got the motherboard exchanged. I have a new MSI z97 U3 plus. The USB ports work fine but the pci-express does not, i am so confused if i am doing something wrong in the installation (I don't think so). is it possible my power supply is not giving enough power? can i check this?

Could it be your GPU? What GPU do you have? Or what peripherals are you trying to connect?
Make sure you push it into place until the clip clicks, then secure it tightly into place with the screws.
You have a very high quality PSU, I don't think it would be the problem.
Best of luck :) let me know how you go

Thank you. I am trying to connect a wifi card. I have tried a separate card which does not work also. And i have tried both cards in a different machine and they both working OK.

I can add that I have a gtx770 in the motherboard and it is functioning perfect.

Have you installed all of the drivers for the motherboard?
I already asked this but I had the same issue with a WiFi card with my MSI motherboard and it only worked after I used an Ethernet cable to download and install all of the motherboard drivers and windows updates.
What is your WiFi card? You'll also need the drivers for that. :)

Hello alex.

I was able to do this yesterday. I install all latest drivers, though i think it already had all of those.

I also had installed drivers for the wifi card.

I have "realtek pcie gbe family controller" as my only network adapter, and this is for the ethernet on the motherboard.

I am wondering if I am doing silly somewhere.
