Hello.

This is my first ever self-build. So, if I seem a bit in the dark, forgive me.

I bought the whole package on NewEgg. Put everything together properly. Instead of the blank hard drive that came with it, I installed one I already had with Windows 7 Pro on it. After turning it on: I got the following error on the screen by Megatrends:

ASUS ASSEM-E ACPI BIOS Revision 1302
CPU: AMD A^-6400K APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics
Speed: 3900MHz
Total Memory: 4096MB (DDR3-1600)
Devices total: 0 Drive, 0 Keyboard, 0 Mouse, 0 Hub
Detected ATA/ATAPI Devices…
SATA38_1 MDC MD10EZEX-08M2MA0
SATA_4 HL-DT-ST DVDRAM
Device Over Current Status Detected !!
System will shut down after 15 seconds.

After several attempts, the connections were made right so it recognized the hard drive, keyboard and mouse. Windows 7 then threw an error screen and asking if repair was desired. At that point I realized the used drive had 64-bit Windows 7 Pro installed, and this was a 32-bit machine. I then installed the blank drive. The system started up perfectly. I installed Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) and did the whole set up process. Everything worked fine. Then, while installing the drivers for a WiFi antenna, the computer froze. When I restarted it, I got the same error message as above, except it recognizes the drive, keyboard and mouse. Nothing I have tried has been able to get the system to fully boot since.

Does anyone know what this issue is and how to get it resolved?

Interesting stuff. Wish I had thought to Google that... :(

Thanks! I'll let you know what happens.

That site was indeed what we needed. Unfortunately, the end result is its a bad Mother Board. We are working out a return/replace with NewEgg.
