usb 3.0 not recognize windows 8

Hello i have a transcend usb hub 3.0 and i was planning on hooking it up to my laptop but unfortunately it does not work. It works however with my 2.0 no problem. Why is that? this is brand new.

Laptop: Asus K43SJ windows 8.1

I hope someone can help me thank you!


Edit: additional info my external harddrives 3.0's work on the laptop...only the hub is not getting detected.

i havent clocked my computer its been set to default for as long as i can remember. again my problem is why wont it detect a 3.0 port but it works on 2.0 its strange..

Hi i plugged this on my bro's pc with 3.0 port it works just fine...so the verdict is my laptop i think its 3.0 port is broken or something.. well that put off some worries of my shoulder i thought my hub is broken and it will be a hassle to bring it back..
