Would you say that it's enough for a gaming rig? I also like to download anime and record videos (I delete them afterwards)

Would it be better to invest in a 1TB HDD?

Solution
Yeah, that'll probably work out better. There are some 2tb drives for 52-55, but if you can't, then 1tb would do fine. I would say maybe get the anime on the 1tb and the recording on the 500gb, if you're going to delete the recordings right after your'e done with them. That way the anime can stay around longer if you want it to.
Invest in a bigger HDD. If you download a lot of anime and record a lot of videos, it'll fill up pretty fast. My steam folder itself is pretty big (~450gb). 500gb would fill up quite fast if you get a lot of steam games. Raw video files are pretty big also.

You could go with a 2tb wd green (it's slower but its still a pretty decent storage drive) for all your animes and what not, and keep the 500gb for gaming (assuming you probably only have a few games that you play and maybe once in a while add on and what not.

I'm on a £50 budget so the 2TB wont work :p

I'm putting my main games on my SSD (Gmod, battlefield 4 and 3 and maybe another) along with my OS and Adobe Photoshop/After Effects

All my anime will stay on my 500GB and the 1TB will be for recording
