Cooling a Athlon X2 3800+

Will the stock cooler on a eMachines T6212 desktop CPU cool a Athlon 64 x2 3800+ dual core CPU? The motherboard apparently fits this CPU and I am just waiting for the processor to arrive so I can put it in, but I am not certain the stock CPU heatsink and fan can cool a dual core (I believe the original CPU is a 3200+ single core Athlon 64 - but it could be a 3500+)

Sorry, I did not realize that it was in the Linux threads. I used the ask the community box and must have been on a different thread that was in the linux section.

I always clean the thermal paste and put new paste on. I learned a long time ago to not reuse the heatsink without new paste - it is not a pretty smell nor sight.

I appreciate the response. I would move this if I knew how - so if a mod can move it I would appreciate it.
