Hello there, I'm looking for a Z97 motherboard and I'm currently trying to decide between these three:

Asus Maximus VII Hero - €190 - INFO (Recommended by someone on this forum who has helped me before.)
Gigabyte Z97x-soc Force - € 210 - INFO (Because my cousin recommended the Gigabyte brand.)
Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 - € 215 - INFO (One I found on the website within the same price class.)
(Information links are in dutch, but it's mostly in tables, so you should be able to get the gist of it.)

If you have any suggestions of your own, feel free to share. I'm looking for a 1150 socket with 4 memory slots, preferably one that doesn't have a bad reputation.

In case it matters, this is currently the rest of my setup:
i7 4790k
GTX 770 (2GB or 4Gb)
Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600Mhz Memory Kit (2x8)
SSD (Samsung 120Gb or Crucial 256Gb)
HDD 1000 Gb WD
Corsair 750W Gold Plus power supply
Cheap optical drive
Case ??? (I will be asking advice about that in a later thread.)

One extra question though:
I'm also thinking about buying a Noctua NH-D15, will this block slots on any or all of these motherboards? (Or you can tell me how to figure this out myself. I've found the dimensions of the NH-D15, but I haven't found information about what the motherboards can accommodate.)

agree, go with the Maximus, the noctua cooler shouldn't block any of the RAM/PCI slots. i have the maximus vi formula and it's a rock-solid board. Gigabyte boards can be really hit-or-miss. I switched from Gigabyte to an ASUS motherboard because of quality issues.

also if you want case advice...NZXT Phantom(looks like an old Alienware) or CoolerMaster Cosmos 2 will fit all of those components very nicely.
