I need some help to know if this will hurt my CPU

So I'm looking to upgrade the ram in my computer. It has two ram sticks that add up to three gigabytes but I want to replace the one gigabyte with a four gigabyte. Will having a two and four make any problems? Since they are not from the same company? For safety measures should I just buy two fours?

Best advise is to go for 2 4GB of RAM with the same brand as you might encounter issues if you install 2GB from a different brand and 4GB from a different brand.

well buying 2x 4gb sticks would be the best choice 4 gb and 2 gb ram if they are of same speed will work as well ......i dont know what os are u using but win 7 32 bit dont support more than 4 gb of ram actualy its 3.5 gb ....
