Hello. Recently I've been looking for a decent, cheap PSU to put in my super, budget gaming build but I have been slightly caught up on the PSU. I'm certainly by no means and expert on PSU's but I have heard that the Corsair CX430 series was built with extremely cheap capacitors that don't hold up to heat very well. Will this actually significantly shorten the lifespan of my computer or is it just mindless bashing. I would greatly prefer to get that CX430 series considering it's cheap and I could even get a semi-modular version but I also plan to overclock and I do want a well built PSU. Would EVGA be the right choice then?

The CX430 is the way to go it's Bronze certified , they are both pretty much equal.

Try to not go coesair, some of their psu have been known to burn, therefore destroying everything in your pc, they may not supply the power they say they do, so a 430W may only supply 350W, , so go for the evga,

Well I guess i'll just take the risk and go with corsair considering it's $15 cheaper. Should I go for the non-modular or semi-modular version ($5 more)

The corsair is the better supply , did you read the review?

It's a good fit for your build.

Go modular.

Yeah but they even said that it was made with cheap capacitors in the review. That doesn't scare me too much and I agree I will go with the corsair PSU. Thanks
