Hi, Im looking for advise on storage for my dell desktop. I'll be operating this as an gaming server unit from for roughly 18-24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This HDD will go in the replacement unit when this one wears out , so im looking for something reliable and with an long warranty. Reliability always takes precedence , but mi also looking for something that is energy efficient and fast. I as looking at an WD RED NAS 3tb hdd or an 1TB WD black 7200 rpm HDD. Mind you, this will be running continuously and mi trying to save a bit of electric costs, so should i even consider an WD purple or green Drive? also, 7200 or 5400 rpm? Please help! Thanks in advance
Josh :)

Solution
Green isn't considered... your choices are red or black, unless you want to compromise reliability get a green - power and heat are negligible
