Power Supply Questions

Rescently, my power supply for my ASUS G75VW-BHI7N07 pooped out. I am looking for a new one and went into tigerdirect to ask about buying one. They said that I should get one from the manufacturer and that if I didn't, I could experience low-quality performance. However, I could get one a lot cheaper if I went to amazon:

Are his warnings legitimate? And if not, would the one I have found work properly?

You also have to be sure that one will fit your laptop
