My computer is slow and I want some more FPS but will it hurt my CPU

I have the eMachines EL1358G-51W with a AMD Athlon II X2 220 Processor 2.80 GHz and I need to know if it can be overclocked?

Probably not a good idea, the stock cooler and PSU are not meant for overclocking.

But at all? All I'm trying to do is get to 3 and hope it makes a difference in a game I want to play.

Overclocking is done in the advanced settings of your BIOS by changing the multiplier of the CPU. If there is no option for doing that, don't try to overclock, it'll probably cause even more issues.
