What's a cheap intel processor combo for gaming on a Dolphin emulator?

I have an a10 6800k which I like a lot, but it's not cutting it for Dolphin. The audio skips and MK and Skyward Sword are laggy. Xenoblade is pretty much unplayable.

I'll end up selling my mobo and cpu for this new one, so please keep it cheap!

Solution
Any i3,i5 or i7 OC to around 4.0ghz

matched with a 7750 or better.

AMD chips just don't seem to be cutting it on emulators.

AMDs are not optimized for Emulators, even if you have an FX 8 core AMD CPU, audio stutters. The best is an Intel processor for emulators.

If you want to have a cheaper option, you can go for an i5-4440 for around 170$ but if you want a lower price than that then go for an i3 Sandy or Ivy Bridge.

Would an i3 be able to run games at 100% around 720p or so?
And will it be as fast as the a10 at processing? I watch a lot of hd movies and game lightly so I guess I'll need a gpu.

If you're referring to games in Dolphin it can run well with a good graphics card like an R9 270X or HD7770 GPU in 720p. But if you're referring to PC titles, then with an i3 plus HD7770 or R9 270X you can play games roughly around High Settings with 720p.

In terms about hyperthreading and processing, especially single core performance, it defeats A10.

It's a little bit less about the power of the hardware than you might think. Dolphin can't run optimally on AMD processors, just because of the way both Dolphin and AMD products are built. For full speed and medium to high end settings, an i5 2500k does the job well, and it's not too expensive. High end graphics cards aren't really required, but a dedicated video card is pretty much required, even a low quality one. Onboard graphics aren't going to cut it for Dolphin. Make sure you have at least 2GB of RAM, but after you hit that much any more won't affect your gaming experience.
