I used a 50/50 solution of vinegar on my lcd/led screens and wiped with a microfiber cloth. I also cleaned the body of my laptop with it. Was this safe? What computer parts should vinegar not be used on? Anything else I should know? Thanks!

Maybe you shouldn't use it. I was reading that the acid in the viniger could damage plastic. On monitors sometimes there is anti-glare film over the glass. You may potentially cloud it over time. I would just go out and grab some flat screen cleaner. Otherwise I don't see it as a problem for the rest.
It shouldnt damage anything, but its not the best for cleaning.
90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a nice lint free rag is the best way to do it.

The only thing that will be undesirable is the water portion. You typically want something that will evaporate with no residual moisture, and you want it to evaporate fast. Hence as pure alcohol as you can get, and nothing else.
