Crossfire or New GPU

Currently I am using R9 280x and need to boost my GPU performance. Should I buy another R9 280x for Crossfire or Should I go for new R9 290x GPU (R9 295X2 is very expensive). What will be benchmark deference between R9 280x Crossfire and R9 290x.

1 more question? I know R9 280x can easily output 2k. If crossfired R9 280x is capable to handle 4k output? Planning to upgrade my display with 4K.

Not really I don't think, even sli 780/780ti's have trouble at 4k, I'd say on ultra on 4k with crossfire, maybe 30-40fps
