Dual Monitor Setup - Displayport Vs. HDMI
UnitedStatesman
So I see many questions about the bandwidth, etc of Displayport over HDMI. But I haven't found a discussion on my question (unless I missed it).
I'll be upgrading to a graphics card (760 or 770) that supports DisplayPort out, and my current monitors have HDMI in and Displayport in&out.
Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using a daisy chained Displayport setup over my current setup which has one HDMI cable running to each monitor? Both setups will be using only one graphics card, I currently use two DVI to HDMI adapters to feed both monitors.

Ah yeah, I guess I could have posted that info too. =)
Both are Dell U2414H (AH-IPS panel if I remember correctly ). Not 4K. Also it says its DisplayPort 1.2(MST). I do more graphic design than gaming these days (why the IPS over TN). -

Dang, those aren't cheap. I was under the impression one Display port out from the GPU could just run one DP cable to Display 1 and another DP cable from Display 1 to Display 2. I was just concerned that the graphics quality might suffer if daisy chained instead of two single HDMI cables -

The u2414h was designed so that you can daisy chain without the hub, that's why it has 2 dp. It's no more of a hassle and there is no quality degradation, it's digital after all.
Using a dvi adapter, you are limited to dvi (so this is really dp vs dvi) which is limited to rgb. Hdmi supports ycbcr and xvycc and dp supports even more. If you don't know what this is then it isn't important.
