Hello! If you have noticed yet, I have finally bought parts for my new gaming rig, its not incredibly "OMG, That's like, UGHHH" its more of a lower end system, but, with a i5 4590, and a gtx 750ti (Which im gonna overclock) it should do me good. Anywho, back on topic.

I have a benQ FP231W Q23W3 24" 16ms Response Monitor, and well, The 16ms kinda bothers me, I have tried to read up on how this response time works, but, people are saying 16ms is the highest you should go, and it works well with 60FPS, So, I'm here to ask this, Is this monitor actually worth it to game on? Or should i just sell it? (I got the monitor for free, because it was missing the PSU, so, I'm looking for one)

All answers appreciated!

I have a monitor with similar response time, but I can deal with that due to the quality of the colour reproduction of the panel (It's an IPS unlike this one), I'd say get rid of it only if it bothers you, keep it if you're fine with it.

Thankyou! but, It only helps me abit :D Basically, i haven't tested the monitor yet, but, I'm just wanting to have a great experience gaming on a brand new desktop, I do not have the Power supply for the monitor, as i have not found one just yet.

What are some things i should look for? Like, Is 16ms Good enough for gaming? What would happen if the FPS goes over 60? would i get some fantastic explosion effects and then death? (Just kidding :D) or would it just start to ghost and stuff?

I personally can't say I've ever seen anything go wrong with my monitor, but I've never used a low response time monitor. For gaming, it seems that a 1-5ms response time and maybe even a 120 or 144Hz monitor is ideal, though that depends on personal opinion whether you prefer the higher fluidity (TN) or nicer colours/better viewing angles (IPS). The 750Ti isn't going to be pushing into the hundreds of FPS at 1080p anyway, so I reckon your current monitor should do you fine, you can always upgrade it at a later date. Is there anything else you would like to no?

Ah okay, its slowly making sense :D Thats pretty much it, If it ghosts for a little, i guess i will sell, but, if it seems fine for me, I should be fine, maybe if i upgrade later i will get a better monitor, but, i've seen the card push into the 70's in some games, so, i guess i might have to try V-sync.
