Well.. yes!! It has to install some drivers .. drivers are the interface between the OS and the hardware.. so with no drivers - it would not work.. so of course it installs some drivers.
Whats your REAL question?

Cheers

he asking if he must install the Graphics drivers and all that other stuff. and he not need to install it
in Windows 8 you must not install by your selves, Windows does it for you and you can go away With less pain.

yes.. but looks like you believe the hype to much.... LOTs of drivers don't appear in Windows update and so need to be found yourself. (or should be provided with the devices when you buy them)..MS do seem recognise/cover themselves with this bit in the link you posted

Quote:
When to look for a driver yourself
Even with automatic updates, you are still dependent on, to some extent, the manufacturers of your hardware. They are responsible for providing drivers to Microsoft to test and then distribute through Windows Update to millions of Windows Vista users worldwide. But not all manufacturers provide Microsoft with updated drivers, and some are slow to release them.
If your hardware isn't working and you haven't received drivers through Windows Update, it's time to look for drivers on your own. First try installing any software that came with the device. If that doesn't work, then check the manufacturer's website.

so back to my original advice.. Windows is good at providing the basic drivers to get you up and running when you install Windows.(i.e. core Mobo /graphics/storage). Some more you may get from Windows update.. and rest you need get yourself.

Cheers

To get the correct divers, install Windows, if it detects the network card, go to the computer vendor support site, download and install the Chipset, Video, Audio drivers at least. You may need power management and maybe card reader drivers if you have a laptop.

Many vendors have other components you may need to get everything working, see what is not working in Device Manager and go from there.
