Hi all, I bought a Sapphire Dual-X 7850 1GB model a little over a year ago.

The card performed beyond my wildest dreams. I seemed to have gotten a good chip because with a core overclock to 1050mhz I was scoring near 4300 on passmark which is par to a 7870. Using MSI afterburner I hit 1200mhz with stock voltages and was pushing even higher scores on passmark blistering by even performance marks of 7870's being overclocked. I honestly had no need for such performance so I dropped the clock back to 1050mhz and have been running that every since.

Recently, I noticed my performance to be a little lackluster in games that I had run flawlessly prior. having not dramatically changed any overclocks, I figured what the heck, I'll try out a passmark test. my GPU scored 3200.... I said, "HOW"? I instantly dropped my GPU overclock to stock and retested, I got 3300... I put it back to my 1050mhz overclock and got 3500... I determined it was rather random and overclock didn't play a huge roll in scores considering it SHOULD be scoring in the 4000+ range. I'm losing around 20% of my performance.

I did a full manual driver sweep and re-installed newest 14.4 release catalyst drivers. No change.

What could be my issue???

Current specs in case I don't have them in my profile:

PSU: Corsair TX650
MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0 (the one with oversized chipset heatsinks)
CPU: FX 6300 overclocked to 4.5GHZ stable.
RAM: 8GB dual channeled Team Elite 1333
GPU's: Sapphire Dual-X 7850 1GB and an Nvidia 8400gs (just to run my two side monitors for multitasking)
HDD: WD black 1TB Main drive and like three old 250GB WD drives for random storage.
SC: Sound blaster Audigy 2
and a PCI networking card...

Thanks in advance!

I have full temp monitors on one of my side monitors at all times. Temps are never an issue. I did a decent underclock to 700mhz and passmark tested it, I got 3080, so it did lower my score a bit. average performance overall still low and no solution found.
