Hey, I've been having some trouble with ram and I need to know how to reset the CMOS. I know how to do it, mostly. There's actually a button on the back I/O port that you can press, but I dont know if I should have my pc powered and plugged in to do this? All I want to know is if I should keep it plugged in but turned off or unplug it completely? Thanks

Yeah that's the site i've been using, but I don't know whether to keep it plugged in or not when using the clr CMOS switch

It won't matter. Best practice is to unplug it, since you could get a shock.
