no brand hate here, just a question of curiosity.
I am building a higger-mid gaming rig.
I was thinking (R9 280 + A88X + A10-7850K) OR (GF 760 + Z97 + I5-4690K). However the ATI or AMD or whatever is the current name seems to be quite terrible as CPU test goes. Is it true or are the AMD/ATI CPUs good in the price range? Consider multi-thread unoptimized games.

PS: I would like (AMD/ATI card + AMD/ATI chipset + AMD/ATI CPU) OR (GF card + GF/Intel chipset + Intel CPU); I am somehow untrustful of wilder combinations as it took me an eternity to find a software acceptable by my current hardware wich is a wild mix.
