So I just built my first PC and I didn't tweak any part settings in bios. Runs great so far. But I keep reading everywhere that I am supposed to tweak the memory and frequency settings in bios for my mobo, CPU, ram, ssd, etc. Is this really needed? And where do I find these numbers? How do I know the proper bios settings?

My setup:

i5 Intel 4690k 3.5
Gigabyte z97x UD5H mobo
VGA sapphire r9 290
x2 Gskill 4gb ram ddr3 1600
Samsung 250gb ssd

Well your ram may or may not be running at 1600mhz some mobos default setting are 1333mhz. Download CPU-Z go to the memory tab and show me a screenshot of it. That said on a new mobo like that you are most likely all set they are pretty good at finding the correct settings for you.

What do I need to update on BIOS for the first time build? I have no idea what to set anything to or how to find it. Anyone?
