I have CFS 3 installed over Win 7 64 BIT with the proper setting from the YOUTUBE video that comes up with a Google searvh fro CFS 3 & Win 7 64 bit. But after flying one mission, the came freezes at the next screen showing my airfield, plane, etc, but w/o the next mission's map. Windows has "searched" for a solution but I haven't had the patience to wait for the default "time out". Is there anybody on this forum who still plays the admittedly antiquated game that might shed some insight into what may be going wrong?
Two weeks ago, the game worked flawlessly, but stopped working suddenly after a Windows update with a message "common.dll file missing" and a config CFS3 file not up to date message. I have since reinstalled the game according to the YouTube video instructions more than five times (after an un-install) but now I can play any ONE mission and fly home, only to have the game "freeze" after i click on "close" on the mission complewte window. I hope my symptomology is helpful.
