Hello everyone, I have custom-built my PC for gaming and I just recently got a GTX 780 from EVGA, which I'd heard great things about. (Also I'm not sure if this is the correct category to post in, if not feel free to move it to the correct thread.)

However, it's not performing NEARLY as well as people say it should be. By this I mean Arma 3 drops down to 9 FPS on Standard Graphics Settings. Other games I get problems with include Battlefield 4, which on Medium Settings I generally tend to get 20-30 FPS.

I wouldn't be upset if I was only getting 9 FPS on Ultra on Arma 3, however it's on Standard and this should not be the case. My specs are as follows, please assist if you know what's up:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight Core running at 3.1GHz (Not overclocked)
RAM: 8GB
GPU: GeForce GTX 780
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
DirextX: 11

If you need any more information don't hesitate to ask, I really am wondering why my PC is nowhere near the beast it should be. This is not something that should be scraping by on standard settings.

Thank you for any help provided!

What is your power supply unit that you are using? If your power supply unit is good enough to power up your whole rig then I recommend reinstalling your graphic card drivers and updating them to the latest version. It would be also helpful if you could post your cpu and gpu temperature while playing to ensure that your computer doesn't suffer from cooling problems.

I am using a SilentPro CoolerMaster 700 Watt PSU, and I've got the most updated BIOS and I'm about to go install my new graphics drivers. I was only like one version behind on the GPU drivers however...

I looked up my temps and they were normal, but I'd need to check exactly what they were.

I think HWmonitor can. Otherwise OC programs like EVGA Precision and MSI Afterburner can. Also your card manufacturer's wesbite should have that info on it. It's model specific so I can't find out without your GPU model.
