LG 42" TV vs Sony 42" TV

Hello guys,

I'm looking to buy a TV for console gaming at home theatre setup.

I've picked 2 monitors, could someone elaborate which one is better for console gaming (xbox one):

They aren't monitors, they're TVs. Buy the TV you want.

Well the Sony has double the refresh rate, 200 as opposed to 100 which results in better motion clarity (moving objects aren't as blurry), not that this matters much because the Xbox One is only designed to run games at 60 fps (60Hz). The LG has 3 HDMI ports and the Sony only has 2. Don't see much else spec wise different between the two. The LG looks like the better choice considering it's almost half the price. Not much info on either regarding contrast ratio or color quality.

anyways the sony has better colors and is a native 100hz screen while the lg is only a 50hz screen. both companies use trickery to double the hz but it is software and really does nothing.

i think the lg has much better smart tv functions and features altho the good remote does not come with the tv it is another $50 or something
