Brand New PC Starting/Running Slow

Hi. I recently purchased a new PC 3 days ago. It ran smooth the first day. Since, it has started slow, taking 3-5 minutes to get to the log in window and then a few to start up windows. Also, when opening the browser is lagging, hanging. the spinning circle at the top goes on for about 2-3 minutes before responding and opening the page. This happens with any page, especially after i first start up the pc. After a while it starts to run better, but then some pages it just takes forever to load.

Some of the games (apps) that came with the computer froze completely, i had to 'end the process' and the screen never came back, i ended up restarting windows. Maybe you have to have a certain software added on to run these apps.

When i uninstalled a program i didn't want, it had me restart the computer but wouldn't come back after i logged back on to windows. Almost like it froze. I had to hit the Task Manager, and then it finally brought up my desktop. (hope this all makes sense). Thank You so much in advance!

Take it back. Get a refund. Build your own.

yeah you got a lemon. i would agree that you should get a refund and build your own, though if that's out of the question than i would say go get something from asus, msi, or lenovo if you want more reliability, hp as of late has proven less than top quality.

Thank you. Although this was a bargain. I dont think i could afford to build my own. Tho i do say, the rebuilds i bought in the past ran a lot smoother..

Would you mind posting your budget or how much you paid for the system. Almost certainly you can get a better system for the $ you spent.

hi. lol sorry didnt see this last reply.

anyway, i took the system back and got a different regular one. i called my tech guy and he said not to get those "all-in-one" systems since they are fairly new and still have plenty of bugs. so, i got a tower and monitor(separate). i paid about the same price if you add both the tower and monitor as i did the all-in-one system. roughly around $360. i dont really care to spend so much on a pc when i have other more important hobbies that are way more expensive. anyway thats the gist of it. This one runs a lot smoother, as i would expect from a new system. no lag at all except for internet issues. its just an HP Pavilion, nothing too elaborate, but gets me online. tho i am having an issue that just came up last night with videos playing. i guess i should make a new thread for that though, thanks for all the support here. :)
