Older games take advantage of CPUs with stronger single thread performance which is why that's the case. The other side is that engine is still crap. I mean it works, but diablo has the same problem as what you're mentioning, so does starcraft 2. Once there's a lot of stuff to deal with, the engine just bogs down and goes down lower fps. I'm assuming blizzard used the same engine for all three of these games.

As for swtor, I'd imagine it's probably the same issue. Problems both single threaded heavy and engine is older and probably will never be updated for that game.

if you are planning on playing mmo's amd is the worst choice one can make, thos games require the strongest cpu you can get, fx just wont cut it, every time youll go to area with many people the game will become unplayable from experience with other mmos, chose intel cpu, wont regret it

The Fx-6300 is a good chip, It should withstand WoW, Maybe turn a few settings down, But it should be fine.

WoW doesnt. The recommended cpu is only an Athlon 64 X2 2.6GHz. A 6300 is perfectly fine.

WoW is about the least hardware dependent game you can get, mostly due to its age. It has performance issues on 25man boss pulls no matter what hardware you have. FPS goes up and down alot depending on how the game manages players keeping in sync. Thats just the way the game is.

if wow is anything like swtor, then the fx chip will be down to its knees in pvp, for my fx 8350 pvp was unplayable@5.0 ghz oc it was still bottlenecking my gpu down to 10fps, dont overestimate the fx, and underestimate online games, after taking a look at the g3258(untill my 4790k gets here) @ 4,7ghz it annihilates my old fx chip, pvp is finally playable over 30fps with the same settings so judge by yourself

I went with another system. Custom build.
600 watt power supply
Large gaming full tower incase I need the space in the future.
Intel I5 4760 quad processor 3.4
Geforce GTX 750ti super clock
8 GB Ram
1TB hard drive
I may buy another Ram stick.

Do you think this system will Max out WOW and Skyrim? Thank you all for your replies, technical knowledge and opinions.
