I am looking for some overall advice for this build I am going to start purchasing later today. I had a thread about this build previously, but sense then I have made so many changes I need advice again. I going to add a second graphics card and crossfire in a couple months. Any thoughts/suggestions of any kind are appreciated.

Solution
It'll work. Gaming alone will have a pretty nice frame rate. Streaming might take a slight performance hit, but everything should still be playable at a decent area.

Do you think that is a much stronger build maniac? I am sorry I was probably not clear enough in my first post I apologize i7Baby, I am going to crossfire and get a second r9 280 in just a couple months, if even that long.

It's only about $60 more, what do you mean they go so well together? I am most curious. I don't have a really have a color scheme if you will iBeater, but I will probably throw some red led's in it (it's for my wife) and as far as brands, its intel based and I will only use antec/XFX/seasonic for the psu.

great choices on the PSU brands, stick with those, maybe EVGA too.
I would suggest going for a high end graphics card now like a 290 or 780 instead of a 280 crossfire.

I would love too SamiSC, but unfortunately I am maxing my budget for this, a lot in fact if I wind up getting a i5 4690k. But crossfiring in the next months is a more realistic financial option for me. Honestly its for my wife and all she plays is League of Legends/Star Craft II/Minecraft while streaming, so crossfiring is probably overkill anyway.

yup thats definatly overkill, heres a 290 build, the non overclocked windforce version.
you can add a few bucks and get the 4690k now and later on get a cpu cooler with some case fans, no real need for the crossfire, that card is a beast.

Here's a build to consider (this is not including rebates and what not):

For streaming, it's nice to have those extra threads. It'll help out with the encoding process. The xeon is practically a i7 without the integrated graphics roughly at the price of an i5.

It's a locked CPU, so there wouldn't be overclocking. If you're not looking for a SLI/Crossfire build, then a h97 board would do just fine.

A rare occasion for me to recommend a gtx 770 over the r9 280x, but 10$ more, and my understanding is that starcraft is a bit better optimized for nVidia anyways.

Hey I appreciate all the suggestions thus far, I am thinking in all reality am I overkilling this to badly? This build is for my wife who is going to play League of Legends, Starcraft II and probably Archeage when it releases. I want this build to be able to play those three games on highest graphics and some while streaming as well, am I overkilling it with my build and potential crossfire?

Crossfire/SLI on those games would be overkill. You could get ultra 60fps+ with a mid tier card on each of those games. Streaming would do better with a CPU with more threads. As for the GPU, you could just go with a GTX 760, or maybe r9 270x, it'll play starcraft on ultra pretty well.

I am shooting for uiltra settings on those games with good fps while streaming, if I don't have to crossfire to get there I probably wont. I think due to my lack of experience I have overshot what I need quite a bit.

Usually a good streaming rig is around the 900-1000$ price point. You don't really need crossfire to be able to stream well. I'm running a fx 8350 + r9 270x and I'm able to stream pretty decently for the games I like to play.

Counter strike, minecraft, planetside 2, payday 2, etc. I have played starcraft 2, league, etc on this rig, but they didn't stick. I have a few other games on my computer I've been meaning to get around to playing, but I haven't really found motivation to play them.

For those specific games that you listed, and the purpose of streaming. If you want to stick with the best experience possible, take my build above with the xeon and lower the graphics card and the psu.

Lowering this anymore would create a bit more difficult time streaming.

Actually can you clarify streaming? Is it like... live streaming on twitch.tv and what not? or like streaming as in watching videos from netflix or what not?
