Hello everyone,

Ever since i bought my new motherboard two days ago, i have had some annoying as heck problems.

I am hoping you guys can help me figure these out :)

First, my system specs.

Mobo: ASUS P8H61-I R2.0
CPU: I7-3770K
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) 2133MHz CL11 1.5V
GPU: Gigabyte Geforce 780GTX 3gb
HDD: 2 x WD Caviar green 1 TB and 1 x Kingston HyperX SSD for OS
PSU: 1000watt Silverstone gold 80
OS: Windows 8.1
Case: Cooler Master Elite 130

Okay, now onwards to the problems!

1. First problem. My Ram is 2133mhz. I went into the MOBO, set the profile to XMP and 2133 speed. Boot the pc. It says "failed to overclock". Wut? I tried 2000 Mhz. Same deal. I had to go all the way down to 1333mhz or i set it to AUTO instead of XMP. What is up with this?

2. Second and most important of all the problems. I set up my pc two days ago. I installed everything, i played some games, everything worked fine and dandy. I turned off my computer for about 6 hours (sleep lol), woke up and pressed the power button. Nothing happened. I unplugged the power cable, replugged it in, tried, NOTHING. I eventually had to reset my CMOS jumper before it decided to work again. This wasn't a one time thing. This happens EVERYTIME I WANT TO BOOT MY PC. It refuses to boot without me resetting the jumper! :( What can i do guys?

I hope this can be remedied! I have always looked to your forums for solutions and advice, and i am eager to see potential solutions :)

cheers and thank you in advance!

I am confused when you mention Adata Ram? I have Corsair Ram. Or am i missing something? Also, i DO set the XMP profile and system wont boot. It says failed to overclock.

As for the second problem, i have done everything in that checklist, but the pc refuses to turn on after a shutdown. :/

Tried another psu. Same issue. Changed mobo battery. Same issue. How do i manually set the profile? When i set the xmp, it just says profile 1 and sets it to 2000, even though my ram is 2133. I think the ram and boot thing might be related.
