Hey guys, this is my system.

Intel i7-3820 3.6GHz CPU
AsRock X79 Extreme9 Motherboard
16GB (4x4) RipjawsZ 1866 RAM (Quad Channel)
1200W Thermaltake Toughpower Grand PSU
Corsair H50 CPU Cooler
Asus R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 PCI-e 3 GPU
Thermaltake GT Level 10 Case
OCZ 64GB Primary HDD running Windows 8.1

Any tips for improving my system would be greatly appreciated.

That seems like a very solid build.
Even if the CPU is an older generation, do you really need to upgrade it?
If you don`t have any complaints performance-wise, I would leave it like that.

However, if you do really want to upgrade something, and the CPU is still strong enough, you can get a new model CPU cooler like the Noctua D14 or D15 for air-cooling, and Corsair H100i if you still want to go with water.

Also, you can get a bigger SSD to have your OS and games on the same SSD, and use the older one as storage for other installs.

The PSU looks good, and the same does the GPU, so I don`t see a reason to upgrade.

Do you have any complaints regarding your case?
