Recently i upgraded my case from this :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DESKTOP-COMPUTER-Galaxy-Bubble-Windows/dp/B005IDO352
to the nzxt phantom 410. It all seemed to be running fine and my fx 8120 was even at a cool 15 degrees C! soon after i went to my bios and used the cpu boost function as i had done previously before the new case. It all seemed fine at first, but now it can suddenly spiral to 80 degrees, much higher than before even whilst using just chrome. also whilst using NZXT CAM the software can't seem to recognise my CPU and MB, however this was not a problem before. Is there anything i could have done wrong in the installation of my parts that could cause this? i am using windows 7 and have had no other problems.

Most likely your case won't affect your cpu temps that much, not that 15 degrees is an accurate measurement, because the cpu will be at least as hot as the ambient temperature, and if it is running, it will always generate a bit of heat, so it must always be a little hotter than the temp in your room. If i were you i'd try out differerent temperature measure programs, to be sure that it is so hot. If you are sure of it, check if the thermal paste is good and your cooler is installed the right way. Can't think of any other things right now
