am trying to update from win 8 to win 8.1pro from the microsoft store gitting error message 0x80240031 . updated from win 7 to win 8 with dvd . have tried a few methods but all fail . like un plug all devices except keyboard mouse tried a clean boot doesnt work system restore , automactic repair doesnt work either . it is a fresh install of windows 7 thought that might work no go either . any ideas before i give up

Is your 8.0 fully updated with all current updates?
Also, possibly your antivirus is interfering.
