I just bought a new Hitachi 1TB hard drive (model no. HUA721010KLA330) for my Dell Optiplex 320 tower computer (motherboard model no. CN-0CU395-70821-76L-D1T2). I hook it up and look in the bios and it is never detected. I have all of the SATA ports on and I know that the connections are secured correctly. I can also hear the drive start up. I have an older drive that works fine in my computer. Please help me out here! Thank you in advance!

Solution
If the BIOS is the latest one, then the HDD maybe bad, unfortunately you don't have other PC to confirm it. But you are better to return it or get other brand ( WD or Seagate) HDD.

The bios should be the latest available and I unfortunately do not have another pc to try it on. It definitely may be a bad hard drive :/
