Hello,

I have this PC:

Mother Gigabyte H55M-S2V
Intel® Core™ i5-650 Processor (3.20 GHz)
SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270X 2GB GDDR5
XFX PRO750W Core Edition 80+ Bronze ATX

Old DDR3 2x 2Gb Kingston 1333mhz

I bought 2x4Gb Kingston Hyper X Blu 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 XMP Desktop Memory - KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX.

I know that i5 works at 1333mhz, so the DDR3 will work at 1333mhz.

When I use the new DDR3, Windows dont start. I put the old 2X2Gb DDR3 and works great.

The mother dont have a jumper. And these are the specifications:

In the BIOS, the MB recognized the 2x4GB memory modules at 1333mhz.
The motherboard specifications say 2 slots x1.5v, and the new memory modules are 1.65v. So I set manually 1.5v in the BIOS but continues don´t working.

I put only one 4Gb module, and continues don´t working.

The last BIOS was launched in 2010, so i think that the actualization will not work.

What do you try?

Put the old ram back in, update your chipset to the latest bios and make sure all settings are reset to default before installing the new ram.

Otherwise check your boards RAM compatibility chart.

hard to say. set the bios to opt. defaults save and and reboot and see if it loads windows on that .. if so go back to the bios and set the memory to its xpm profile retry , or it may just be it don't like the memory I had some sticks that did not work well on one build but worked just fine on a different one .. some boards can be picky

I was going to add this about ddr3 and why I only choose the 1.5v [opinion]

According to JEDEC,[2] 1.575 volts should be considered the absolute maximum when memory stability is the foremost consideration, such as in servers or other mission-critical devices. In addition, JEDEC states that memory modules must withstand up to 1.975 volts before incurring permanent damage, although they are not required to function correctly at that level.

The RAM compatibility chart has not been updated since 2010. http://ar.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3601#memory%20support%20list

The BIOS soft has the same problem. But I can try this!

Thanks

I will try again. Thanks
