I recently ran into a problem with my monitor, every time I try to turn it on it starts up as usual but then displays DVI no signal. I've tried different DVI cables and even a different monitor with DVI cables. I've checked my GPU and when I start up all the fans are spinning. Everything that I can see works perfectly normal. How can I fix this and is my motherboard or GPU faulty, some help would be greatly appreciated, because I am on a competitive TF2 team and have set times for matches/games. Thanks

Are you using a DVI-D Dual Link cable ?

Is the OSD set tot he correct input ?

Does it work w/ on board GFX ?

All yes, I think it's a mobo problem I've tried both PCI slots and still nothing works

If it was the GFX card that was faulty, wouldn't you expect it not to work on both slots ?

Again, what about on board GFX ?

Yes, but now we have eliminated the Monitor as an issue.

Next step is to put card in another PC and see if it works there....or put another card in your MoBo and see if that works.

My pleasure dood .... nothing more frustrating than firing up a new build and seeing a black screen.... especially when it's a duh moment ... like having monitor default to DP and you're using a DVI-D dual link cable.

It is a card problem, I still have a warranty on it though I did the invoice today and I'm wondering how long it will take to get back

If ya give them a credit card number, ya can generally have them ship you the new card and then ship the old one back on the packaging it came in.
