Hey guys !

I recently got a second 7970 for my eyefinity setup. Installed it and launched bf4 becasue I couldnt wait to see the improvement. I was surprise to see that I had good FPS but even at high FPS I had some weird stutter and/or screen tearing and it didnt feel natural/as smooth as when I was playing with a single card (I cant really play with all the stutter, its annoying). I tried bunch of solution as limiting my FPS to 60 by using riva tuner since my monitor is 60hz and it seems that it fixed almost all the tearing but still the gameplay didnt feel as smooth. I read somewhere that using Vsync or any frame limiter in a crossfire setup can cause alot of stutter but without it I got some huge screen tearing. So my question is will I be able to get a smooth gameplay by switching to a 144hz monitor since I wont be using Vsync anymore or the stutter is a normal thing for crossfire setup ? Because when I'm watching videos of people with similar setup on youtube, they don't have any stutter so I'm guessing its my monitor ?

My cards are at 60% load in BF4 on all high (texture on ultra) in 5540X1050 (1X24 and 2X22 monitors) using an 4770k @ 4.2

Tanks !

Should work for eyefinity, I would go ahead and test BF4 with a single monitor to see if your problem stems from multi monitor or not.
I think it could be a couple possible things. AMDs frame stutter fix that they released some time last year didn't fix the issue for any card below the R9 290 on resolutions over 2560x1600. So by using crossfire 7970 on a triple screen set up you are going to experience frame stutter.

I also read that BF4 crossfire is having issues when mantle is activated, make sure you have that turned off and see if it helps at all.

Thanks for the respond,

I'm using DirectX in BF4. I will prob buy a 144hz monitor and since I cant use eyefinity with different refresh rate I will stick with my two 60hz and play in eyefinity in 60hz then later buy other 144hz (its expensive lol). Since my other two monitors use only DVI ports: 2XDVI with 1 displayport will work for eyefinity right ?

Thanks
