My hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178117

I've read some posts about turning an external disk to internal and while most of them conclude that this is possible they also talk about the necessity of a SATA port. The problem is that I have no idea if the hard drive I bought has it and I don't want to mess it up destroying the cover (apparently there is no way to remove it without breaking it). Also, this hard drive needs to be connected both USB to the PC and electrically to the socket.

Can I turn my external hard drive to internal?

Thanks for the answers.

Most likely you can - inside the cover thet hard drive itself will have the same SATA data and power connectors as any other hard drive. THe downside is that usually the HDDs in those external enclosures are a little slower than what one would usually put in a PC. But then, maybe you won't notice it.
