hello,i have a question ,and i hope you help me find on answer,can install a 45nm processor( Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E7500 (3M Cache, 2.93 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) (Support Intel ® 45nm CPU) in a motherboard(ASUS P5W DH Deluxe)
that supports 65nm (Support Intel 65nm)...

Well, they are both LGA775 components, so at first glance it will work. You may need an updated BIOS, and they may not have a sufficiently recent BIOS. The chip started its life in '09...

Ahh. Here's Asus' compatibility list: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/list.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=p5w%20dh%20deluxe&p=1 . A resounding yes, as long as you update BIOS to version 2103 or later.
