Hello everyone. I want to build a new gaming pc that will last me a few years and has a good price/performance rapport. I am planing to play the games in 1440p.
My budget is $3000. I have a configuration in mind but I want to hear your opinions on this:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K CPU 4GHz
COOLER: Noctua NH-D15
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo Series 250GB
MB: Asus Z97 Maximus VI Formula
RAM: Corsair CMD16GX3M2A2400C10 Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400 Mhz CL10
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 780Ti 3072MB (I will buy another one for SLI in the future)
Case: Cooler Master HAF X USB 3.0 XL ATX
PSU: Corsair AX1200i Professional Series Digital AX

Solution
For the case you can get something like a 750D it's one of the 900D's little brothers and it's a nice case, you can also have a look at the H440, the corsair 500r or the phanteks enthoo pro for mid tower cases. (Last one is a really nice, new case, and the first one is my favorite, the black/red version to be exact.)

Anyway, as for your build I wouldn't change a thing, it is great. (Well except for the case, but that's completely up to you, as IMO cases are a personal choice)

Oh and 850 w is definitely enough, as your system should use around 600 watts when fully stressed. http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/gtx-780-ti-sli-geforce-review,4.html (read the system power consumption not card tdp)

That looks like an insane gaming pc, you could change to an all in one water cooler for better performance like the corsair 100i. The h100i would also allow you to use corsair link along with the power supply. If you have enough money I would also recommend you change case to a corsair 900d because frankly that is the best case out there. Ps I am not a corsair fanboy it's just that in these two cases they do offer the vest products

The NH-D15 performs better than the H100i and is much quieter zitrome. As for your build, it's a very nice build, I think you meant the maximus vii formula for the mobo (didn't know it came out, last time I checked the hero was the highest-end z97 dog mobo). You probably don't need that expensive ram, you can get much cheaper g.skill ram running at the same speeds. And I don't see how you can't fit the second 780 ti in your budget, you should definitely be able to get both cards well within the 3k, unless you're counting the screen and peripherals in the budget, which, depending on what you get can take up a good sum from your total.

The. H100i runs cooler than the nhd15 there are a few test around that prove this. Also the corsair link would make up for a few degrees. Finally if you buy an nhd15 you have to get tiny ram. Ps the nhd15 is quieter because it comes with very quiet fans and if you buy a fan controller the corsair 100i will be just as quiet

In all benchmarks I've seen and all reviews I've read, the nh-d15 ( in dual fan configuration, which is how you'll be using it out of the box anyway) performs better by a few degrees, so no, the h100i doesn't run cooler. It is also much noisier while not performing as well as the noctua, a good option if you want an aio, would be the h110 for example, or the kraken x60/61. Oh and here's something to support my claims: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cooling/2014/05/01/noctua-nh-d15-review/2

First of all, a 4790k is an overkill but still it is admissible but a pair of SLI's in future for gaming at 1440P? A 290/780 is more than enough for a single 1440p monitor. But the 780Ti would help you to max out all the games for the next 5-6 years.
AX1200i PSU?what are you going to do with that? And i'd prefer air cooling rather than water cooling.
Friend, save some money and get this build:

No,the XFX one is powerful enough to meet the requirements of two 780Tis.There wouldn't be any problem at all and it's a brand whom you can trust specially when it comes to PSU.The maximus hero is an overkill but the Mpower is a solid motherboard with a full headroom for O.C(with 16 phase power phase design).

@Zitrome My first thoughts were also to buy corsair 100i but after I have read the benchmarks I am going to stick with NH-D15 as @Ytyoussef said this is much better than corsair 100i. The corsair 900d case is no doubt an excellent case, but I don't know if is worth $200 extra for this, I will better invest in a bigger SSD like @kawininjazx said.
@Ytyoussef I already have the screen and peripherals. The price difference between dominator platinum 16GB and G skill trident x 16GB 2400Mhz is $100 so I am now also considering getting G.skill instead of dominator RAM, one plus for G.skill is that is red as the mb and it will look very nice. The EVGA SuperNova G2 850W is a good choice half the price of Corsair AX1200i but it will be enough for SLI GTX 780Ti?

The new config is:

CPU: Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPU (Quad Core 4GHz, Socket H3 LGA-1150)
COOLER: Noctua NH-D15
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo Series 500GB
MB: Asus Maximus VII Hero Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill TridentX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit
GPU: 2 x MSI GeForce GTX 780Ti 3072MB Graphics
CASE: Cooler Master HAF X USB 3.0 XL ATX Case
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply

This will cost me about $3000, any modifications that I should make?
