Ok guys, so my monitor was faulty and I bought another one, when I set up my pc with the monitor there was no display, no beep but everything was running except there was no red blinking light under the power light. Anyway, so I opened it up and saw that the power cable to the hard drive came out somehow and when I plugged it back the pc started up and I logged in and all but apparently the pc wouldn't recognise my router, after a couple minutes it get the blue screen of death saying "bad pool header" and when I restart it sometimes the display goes blank, I have tried taking out the CMOS, disassembling and reassembling but still nothing, guys please help as I am in complete stress and this is my first "good" pc I have invested my whole savings in.

You pulled out the CMOS BIOS chip?

Don't do that! Just push it in tighter to make sure it has contact.

1) If it runs for a while then craps out, your prob sounds like overheating. Are you sure the heatsink is on tight — with thermal paste? Verify that the CPU fan is running. What does BIOS setup say the temp is? If it's not heat, then I'll wager it's a bus short:

2) Pull, then reseat your memory.

3) Do the same with all expansion slot cards

4) Also, the disk might have gotten logical damage when it got unplugged while it was running. Do a chkdsk. Ask if you don't know how.

Hey, thanks for getting back guys, but I currently having problems getting the display on, sometimes display works after several times of turning the CPU on and off. Plus if I want to get into the bios I can't because all my USB devices become unresponsive even when the pc is on.
