Is it worth putting a NVIDIA GTX 760 into motherboard with PCI 2.0?

Hi,
I want to configure a gaming PC around an AMD FX 9370 CPU. Since AMD processors are only supported by mainboards having PCI 2.0 (is this still true? I found sources only from 2011-2012), is it worth using putting the NVIDIA GTX 760 in such a mainboard? The GTX 760 has PCI 3.0 which is downward compatible. Is this a waste of money and should I choose a cheaper graphics card, ie will the bus be a bottleneck?

Solution
It will work fine, running a 760 on my M5A97.
However, if you are worried about a waste of money, you might want to reconsider your CPU choice...
The processor itself is just a factory OC 8320, that can hardly be considered stable. It requires motherboards that can support its 220w TDP, and requires very large amounts of cooling to keep it stable.

I recommend the i5 4690k and a Z97 board, depending on your motherboard budget.

Only thing I would suggest is using 2x4 ram so you can use dual channel.
Also, the CX lineup of PSUs has some lower end capacitors, and you are very close to maxing that PSU out, it will work short term but I would look into a higher wattage PSU from somewhere like XFX.
