cheap 1080p monitor with speakers and hdmi?

hello again. i have been in a lot of different sections of tomshardware, and i have to say, this forum is one of the most useful i have been on. anywho, on to my question.

i want to buy a new 1080p monitor, and i would like it to have built-in speakers, 21-24 inches, and hdmi input. i don't want to break the bank though, so if anyone knows a cheap reliable monitor with those specifications. i have looked at a viewsonic VX2252MH 22" model, although people have said things like yellow smears when you scroll down in browsers. also i would prefer if the monitor is on amazon, since i already have a big shopping list, and it would be easier to buy it where i buy everything else.

Thanks in advance

  1. What is your budget?
  2. i don't want to exceed 180 dollars.
  3. Excellent! Then this fits right in your budget. This monitor has everything you asked for, and is touchscreen. I have personally owned this monitor for over a year now and absolutely love it! It works very very nice with Windows 8. Not sure what version of Windows you use. I will have to look and see how much it cost on amazon.

  4. So I can only find that monitor for $250 on amazon. I wouldn't be afraid to buy from newegg. They have an outstanding return policy and service department. I buy 95% of my electronics and anything else they have from them, and have had only great experiences. I've even had them reimburse me the difference when a product I bought went on sale a week after I bought it.

But I recommend this monitor to anyone, judging on the experiences I've had with it.
  5. thank you for that. do you know any other monitors that are a bit cheaper? not that it isn't viable, i would just like to look at what other choices there are. also, i don't need touchscreen.
  6. Absolutely. This would be a very nice monitor as it has IPS, and comes in at $140. Now this isn't from amazon however. And also, IPS monitors only come at 60Hz currently. Although this is not a bad thing. I think it would still be very nice for you.

  7. I just realized that the above monitor doesn't have built in speakers like you want. Here is the cheapest one I could find with build in speakers, IPS, LED, 5ms response time, but no HDMI. Only DVI.
