Could my motherboard handle 3.0PCI-E gpu?

For my motherboard AIDA64 says: 3 PCI, 3 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 2 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN.
So could i insert a 3.0 PCI-E gpu in her?

Depends in fhe x16 slot is a 1.0 slot or 2.0.

Well what pc is it? dopn't even know the make/model of the mb to look it up.

Yes, PCI-e 3.0 GPUs are backwards compatible. I have a HD 7750 (which is a PCIE 3 card) in a old Dell system that only has a PCIE 1.1 slot.

Not fully. There are lots of issues with new 3.0 cards not working on old 1.0 boards. Everyone hoping to revive an old system with a 750ti are having issues. 1.1 also has it's issues with 2.0 cards sometimes.

Really? My old Dell and HD 7750 just work fine together. GPU-Z tells me that it's running at 1.1.
