Hi there,

I am currently preparing to build my first PC, as I am still new to all of this I was hoping to get some more experienced input before I begin to order all my parts. I have chosen the hardware for my gaming setup, but before I order everything I was hoping somebody could ensure that all my parts will be compatible. I have tried to look everything up and make sure it will be, but having any extra help will only make me more confident.

That being said, here is what I am looking at getting;

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-970A
CPU socket type AM3+/AM3
CPU Type Fx/Phenom2/Athlon2/Sempron 100 series
Memory Slots 4x240pin (DDR3 2000/1866/1600/1333/1066)
Expansion slots: 2Pci express x16, 1Pci express x1\

Video Card
Evga Nvidia GeForce gtx 760 2gb
PCI Express 3.0 Interface (is this compatible with my motherboard pci?

Power Supply
Rosewill Hive 750w (80 plus bronze)

Memory
2x4GB 240 pin DDR3 1600

Processor
AMD FX-6300
AM3+ CPU Socket

Case
ATX Mid Tower (19.5" x 9.1" x 18.9")
ATX Motherboard compatibility
Nvidea GeForce compatibility

Harddrive
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003
1TB 7200RPM 6.0GB/s SATA

Also, I am unsure if I would need any additional cooling than the one with the video card and the fans within the case.

If I need to post any additional information please let me know.

Thank you all in advance,
Cameron

Solution
I'd get a 8320, much better cpu for not much more and the extra power comes in handy. I'd get a better heatsink too, Hyper Evo 212 is a good cheap choice.

The GPU is fine with the motherboard.
