I had a very stable system for 3 years. Then I decided to upgrade my RAM, and bought 2x8 HyperX Fury, to add to my 2x2 HyperX Genesis
After I installed the RAM, the computer kept shutting down with a blue screen, when I play games
My first thought was that the new RAM is faulty or incompatible with the old RAM, so I took it away, and ran the system with only the old RAM, but again, was met by the same shut downs
I tried switching memory banks, just to exclude other possibilities
I also thought it may be a graphics driver thing, or a system corruption
So, I bought a new SSD hard drive, installed Windows 8.1 x64 (I had Windows 7 Ult x64 before), and downloaded/installed the latest graphics drivers from AMD's site
Still the problem persists
I ran a couple of memory test programs, including one for video memory, but no errors were found

My current system is :

MB : MSI 870s-G46
Processor : Phenom II x 6 1090T @ 3.2GHz
RAM : 2x8 HyperX Fury 1600DDR3
Video Card : Radeon HD 6850 with 1GB RAM

I never tried overclocking or tampering with the system, other than installing hard drives

I am running out of ideas, and have no idea what to do next!
Any advice?!

Edit : Right now as I was using VMT to test the video memory, I got another blue screen. which lasted long enough for me to read it (first time) and it said it's a Clock_Watchdog_Timeout error
I did some research, and someone suggested that I need AHCI mode for my SSD to work properly. I tried that but windows refused to load until I reverted back to IDE

Thanks for reading this guys
In the end, it turned out to be a good old overheating problem
I somehow broke the CPU Cooler Bracket (in 3 places) while installing the RAM (probably before that as I took it out to clean a few times before) so the heat sink wasn't stable
I am testing now with a new liquid cooler and so far no problem (except for the noise)
